14 die as bus falls into gorge in Chamba
Tribune News Service

Dharamsala, November 1
Fourteen persons were killed and 10 others injured when a private bus (HP-73-1568) fell into a deep gorge in the remote Salooni area of Chamba district.

Sources in the district headquarters of Chamba said the bus was coming from the Himgiri area of Salooni block to Chamba.

Police officers in the control room said that around 3 pm, the driver of the bus lost control over the bus on a sharp hairpin bend on the road and it fell into the 700-metre-deep Shalooni Nullah.

As no mobile signal was available in the area, there was a delay in providing help to the victims of the accident.
