Hooda govt decisions under review: Khattar Chandigarh, October 27 Announcing stalling of all on-going recruitments initiated by the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led government, Khattar said the Cabinet had decided to review appointments as also announcements made after the results of the Lok Sabha elections. This “hold-up” on implementation will also extend to the hike in old-age pension and pay scales on the Punjab pattern to government employees from November 1, a Cabinet decision cleared just days before polls were announced in Haryana. In his first media interaction after taking over as chief minister and chairing the first Cabinet meeting, Khattar emphasised that for his government a “welfare-oriented agenda” was priority as opposed to “vendetta politics”. Replying to a question on whether his government would proceed to investigate land
deals involving Robert Vadra as suggested by his cabinet colleagues, Khattar remained non-committal. “Any complaints received will be looked into. If these have substance, the law
will take its course,” Khattar said. Unhappy with re-employment of bureaucrats made liberally during the Congress tenure, the chief minister stated, "The Congress government not only appointed retired bureaucrats but issued letters to a few others in advance. I have asked for a list of re-employments made during the previous government’s rule to take further action at the next Cabinet meeting.” Session from Nov 3
