New Delhi, September 6
The BJP today intensified its move to meet AAP, Congress and other MLAs for their support during the “secret ballot” in the special session of the Delhi Assembly for government formation.

Sources say Lieutenant Governor Njeeb Jung has planned to call a special session of the Delhi Assembly where the MLAs will elect the leader of the House through a secret ballot, who will be declared as the Chief Minister.

BJP MLA from Janakpuri Jagdish Mukhi is among the forefronts for the CM’s post.

On Friday, Delhi BJP president met Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Sources said some AAP and Congress MLAs have expressed their willingness to support the BJP in the House during the secret ballot, but they do not want to come in the open. An independent, Rambir Shokeen, and expelled AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny have already declared their support to the BJP.

Opposing the BJP move for the government formation, a 22-member delegation of AAP led by former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal today called upon President Pranab Mukherjee seeking his intervention in dissolving the Delhi Assembly.
