Omar Abdullah slams Central govt for calling him anti-national
Srinagar, Aug 31 (ANI): Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, slammed the Central government for calling him 'anti-national'. Addressing the state assembly on its last session, he said each political party in Kashmir has made sacrifices to strengthen the country. He further expressed his anger by saying that putting the army in danger and asking it to go to war is considered an act of nationalism in this country.
PM Modi visits Kinkaku-ji Temple, interacts with public
Kyoto, Aug 31 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanied by Japanese PM Shinzo Abe on Sunday visited the Kinkaku-ji Temple in Kyoto city of Japan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also interacted with common public outside the temple in Japan. He arrived in Japan on Saturday and was received by senior officials of the Japanese administration at the airport. Modi arrived in Japan for a five-day visit, his first major bilateral trip since taking over in May.
Politicos react on worsening situation in Pakistan
New Delhi, Aug 31 (ANI): Political leaders on Sunday reacted over the critical situation in Pakistan which has led to an unstable situation in the neighbouring country. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that Pakistan is a neighbour and India wants to maintain good relations with them, but unless their political situation gets improved, things cannot work out between both nations. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that it is unfortunate that Pakistan has not been able to strengthen and stabilize its democratic situation.
