Monthly cap on LPG cylinders goes

New Delhi, August 27
The Union Government today allowed consumers to get 12 subsidised LPG cylinders at anytime during the year, lifting the restriction of one cylinder a month. 

This reverses the decision of the UPA government in February when it raised the quota of subsidised 14.2-kg LPG cylinders that a household can avail in a year to 12 from previous nine, but put a restriction of one cylinder per month.
