Jaswant Singh in coma after fall at home

New Delhi, August 8
Former BJP leader Jaswant Singh (76) is in coma after suffering a fall at his residence. He was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital with a head injury early this morning and his condition was stated to be “very critical”.

“At present, the condition is very critical. He is on life support and under constant monitoring by a team of neurosurgeons and critical care providers,” a Defence Ministry release said, adding that a lifesaving “decompressive hemicraniectomy” had been done. The former Defence Minister was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition around 1 am after his family members found him lying unconscious on the floor of the house, the ministry said. — PTI
