The long and short of it
A confrontation scene stretching up to a week in an unending saga vs a story that moves ahead with every episode and gets over in a few-there are takers for everything that's dished out on telly. While Anil Kapoor's 24 got tremendous response for its first outing on Indian telly, finite show series on Zindagi are being lapped up by viewers too. Amitabh Bachchan's much talked about debut in a fictional show on TV, Yudh, is coming with an expiry date. The debate is it an end to soaps running for years celebrating kitchen politics?
