Delhi SGMC President says all gurudwara committees should come under common act
Amritsar, July 28 (ANI): The President of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee Manjit Singh GK on Monday said that the management has no problem if all Gurudwara committees come under a common All India Act. He added that Sikh Community is a minority community so it is necessary to maintain unity and avoid stress.



Saharanpur Curfew to be relaxed after clashes, 38 arrested
Saharanpur, July 28 (ANI): Saharanpur District Magistrate Sandhya Tiwari on Monday said that the curfew will be relaxed after the clashes for particular period of time and also said that the situation is under control now. Meanwhile, SSP Rajesh Kumar Pandey said that there had been no untoward incident whatsoever during the night and that the police are on patrol continuously. He also said that 38 have been arrested in the connection that those spreading rumors will also be arrested thereafter.



Former PM seeks probe even as Nitin Gadkari dismisses bugging claim, Politicos react
New Delhi, July 28 (ANI): Political leaders react as Former PM Manmohan Singh seek probe over a bugging device found at Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari’s residence even as he dismissed any such claims. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that the Congress itself will get trapped if a probe is conducted. Congress’ Manish Tewari demanded answer from the government over the infringement on privacy.



Amitabh Bachchan honoured by UNICEF for spreading polio awareness
New Delhi, July 28 (ANI): Bollywood superstar and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan, was felicitated by the organisation’s representatives for India, for the actor’s active role in spreading awareness for polio immunisation. UNICEF representative for India, Louis Georges Arsenault, while addressing the felicitation ceremony held in New Delhi said India’s victory over polio is a huge credit to those who painstakingly mobilised communities for polio vaccination and continue to do so even today.



Rural women in Nagaland promote traditional artwork
Nagaland, July 28 (ANI): These women are engaged in making a variety of handloom products at the Exotic Echo Society in Dizephe village of Nagaland. The society was formed to empower villagers by creating sustainable job opportunities for them. It has been taking an endeavour to support a number of women self help groups in the area by conducting training programmes in traditional loin loom weaving.
