Soaring tomato prices drill pockets of common man
New Delhi/Patna, July 27 (ANI):
Vegetable sellers across India are a worried lot as tomato prices have increased sharply from rupees 60 to rupees 80 per kilogram, thus affecting the sale of the vegetable. The soaring prices have also burdened the common man as it is not just seasonal vegetables that are becoming costly but basic items like tomatoes are also seeing the price rise.


Bangladeshi women paint hands with traditional henna designs ahead of Eid
Dhaka, July 27 (ANI):
Enthusiastic Bangladeshi Muslim women participated in Henna festival and artistically applied it on their hands in various traditional floral patterns as Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching. Eid-ul-Fitr will likely be celebrated on 29th or 30th of July after sighting of the crescent moon.


Politicos react as CAG report reveals Gujarat govt unduly favoured Reliance, Adani

Opposition party leaders slammed the Narendra Modi government over the CAG report which has stated that the Modi government gave undue benefits to Adani and Ambani and conducted irregularities of over 25,000 crore.


Commonwealth Games 2014: India at fifth place in medal tally
Glasgow, July 27 (ANI):
Indian shooters hogged the limelight on Day three of the Commonwealth Games 2014 being held at Glasgow. Prakash Nanjappa gave India the first medal of the day by winning a silver in men’s 10m Air Pistol event. Soon after, Apurvi Chandela and Rahi Sarnobat clinched a gold medal each in shooting as India continued its good show at the games.
