Pak troops again violate truce in J-K

Jammu/Srinagar, July 12
Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in Jammu district on Saturday targeting Indian positions with automatic weapons.

"Pakistan Rangers fired at BSF positions in Arnia sub-sector of the international border on Saturday," an officer said. "Around 10 am, the Rangers opened three to four rounds of fire from their Awam and Charba posts, opposite Stop 2 and Pindi posts of the BSF in the Arnia sub-sector. The BSF didn't retaliate," said an Intelligence source.

Meanwhile, Indian posts along the LoC in Nowgam sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district were also targetted from the Pakistan side today. However, it was not known who fired at the Army posts. A senior Army official at Baramulla said: "Indian posts were targeted from the Pakistan side this morning.
