Ahead of polls, Hooda hikes ex gratia for bravehearts Chandigarh, July 12 A meeting of the Haryana Cabinet, presided over by Hooda, announced several ‘pro-people’ decisions, including a policy to provide relief to the Haryana residents in the high toll rates, hefty increase in the ex gratia to families of the central paramilitary forces personnel killed/disabled in military operations, Class I status for the government doctors and new job scheme for sportspersons. Hooda, however, disagreed with a query that these decisions had been taken with an eye on the elections, claiming that every decision was not taken with electoral considerations in a welfare state.
