US President Obama looking forward to meeting PM Modi: US Deputy Secretary of State New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): After his meeting with India’s Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi, US Deputy Secretary of State, William J. Burns said that US President Barack Obama looks forward to PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the White House in September for a spur in economic growth. Burns met Jaitley, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to enhance trade, energy and security cooperation between New Delhi and Washington. Burns said Washington would professionally deal with the ruling BJP’s concern on snooping.
Determined to bring down consumer inflation: Raghuram Rajan Chennai, July 11 (ANI): Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan said that he was determined to ease consumer inflation through a combination of demand and supply management. An RBI panel in January recommended bringing consumer price index (CPI) inflation down to around eight percent by the end of January 2015 and to six percent by the end of the following year. Rajan also noted that the RBI would issue circulars regarding banks' lending for infrastructure projects. The RBI Governor also assured stability in oil price.

Srinagar, July 11 (ANI): Taking a plunge, Kashmiri girls are all set to prove their mettle in the game of soccer as the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil has gripped the youth across the globe. Girls under 19 in Srinagar participated in the open soccer tournament, organised by football association of the region. This is for the very first time that a football tournament is being organised exclusively for college girls of the region in a bid to expose them to the international standards of playing the game.
