New Delhi: Congress leader, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, said the court complaint against its chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi is politically motivated. An Indian court summoned Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to answer allegations that they used their leadership of the Congress party to misuse about $15 million of party funds for personal profit. Arun Jaitley reaches Parliament to present Budget 2014
New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley reached Parliament all set to present his maiden budget on Thursday. The budget may contain tax sops for the salaried, dumping of the controversial retrospective tax and spelling out of steps to revive investment and manufacturing for growth. For boosting investment, Jaitley is expected to announce tax incentives for industry. As a prelude, the government has already extended the excise duty concessions for automobile and consumer durable sectors till December.
