Long before Sufism became a fad, much before every singer worth his salt proclaimed undying love for Sufi music, quietly and devotedly Barkat Sidhu simply sang. Without ado or fuss, without unwanted embellishments or gimmicks! The kalams of all time greats like Bulle Shah and Shah Hussain found a devoted interpreter in his inimitable, strong and mellifluous voice.

Cut to couture
The interiors of the studio remind you of the underground track of the Delhi metro. They are plain and cemented, in stark contrast to the material it stores, all embellished, glittery and colourful. We don't know if it is a conscious decision to keep the surroundings Spartan but it does help shifting the focus to designs, primarily couture.
