Foreign Secretary says China's new map does not change facts on the ground of India's possession
Beijing, June 29 (ANI): India’s Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh stood by the statement of Foreign Ministry which said that “cartographic depiction does not change the reality on the ground” after the Chinese government, in a new vertical map had shown Arunachal Pradesh as a part of its territory. Singh addressed a news conference in Beijing after Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari’s meeting with Chinese premier Li Keqiang to brief on the issues discussed between the delegations of the two countries. 



Operations underway to rescue the trapped under collapsed building in Chennai
Chennai, June 29 (ANI): Operations are underway to rescue the trapped people under debris of the collapsed under construction building in Chennai. Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Pon Radhkrishnan on Sunday visited the spot. He said that help will be sought from the Central government if necessary.



Annual Jagannath Rath Yatra begins, Anandiben Patel performs Pahind-Vidhi
Ahmedabad, June 29 (ANI): The annual Jagannath Rath Yatra began on Sunday where people from different parts of the country will be united to sing bhajans. The Rath Yatra will go on for 18 kilometres and to avoid any unwanted event, CCTC surveillance has been employed. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will perform Pahind, the first time a woman would be performing the holy ritual. Ahmedabad mayor, Meenaxi Patel, has performed the ceremonial puja of Lord Jagannath to bring happiness and good luck to the city on the auspicious day.
