Follow ‘Capt Modi’, Advani tells MPs Surajkund (Faridabad), June 29 Advani was addressing the second and concluding day function of the two-day training programme for the newly elected MPs here this evening. Advani cautioned them that the success would last only if the party leaders and elected representatives worked hard. Showering praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Advani said the MPs should learn and follow their ‘captain’. "Time was crucial and the leaders, who had made it to Parliament, must not be swayed by the success and become arrogant. This was an opportunity to serve the people, who had voted them to power with such a huge margin", he remarked. Exhorting the MPs to remain in constant touch with the people, he said they would have to devote extra time to study and resolve the issues concerning the masses. Advani, who spoke for around 35 minutes, asked the participants to resolve to work for making a positive change at all levels. Earlier, the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar asked them to focus their energies on development works and urged them to resolve the issues concerning their constituencies. Piyush Goyal, another union minister, spoke on various topics, including positive communication strategy and about using the social media to their and party's advantage. Some of the prominent RSS leaders, including Suresh Soni, also addressed the workshop in the pre-lunch session. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yesterday asked the newly elected party MPs to be careful about their conduct both in Parliament and in public as people were observing them. He directed them to nurture their constituencies and spread the message of good governance.
