Venkaiah Naidu flags off Metro services between Mandi House and Central Secretariat
New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday flagged off Metro services between Mandi House and Central Secretariat. The stretch would provide huge relief for commuters who get down at decongesting Rajiv Chowk station. Besides providing a one-point transfer to commuters headed from Central Secretariat for Vaishali and Noida. The 3 km-long underground corridors will have one station in between Janpath and is expected to benefit some 70,000 commuters. With this n0ew line, Mandi House would now be the interchange point for three lines — Noida-Dwarka Sector 21, Central Secretariat-Badarpur and Jahangirpuri-Huda City Centre.



Militants blow up Revenue office building in Kashmir
Poonch, June 26 (ANI): Militants blew up an office of a senior revenue official in border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir with a powerful explosion. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Amit Kumar Gupta said that in the wee hours of morning there was a powerful blast on the office premises. Kashmir has always remained a sensitive issue, as the restive region has witnessed numerous militant attacks, insurgency, and infiltration attempts from across the border in the last two decades.



AAP slams Modi government over inflation and corruption
New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): AAP chief, Arvind Kejriwal criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for its inability to take strict measures to combat corruption and inflation. Addressing a news conference in New Delhi, Kejriwal said that the BJP had failed to deliver its election promises. Kejriwal also condemned BJP over the probable gas hike and said that he had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to roll back the hike.
