SASB to take review of Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage route to ensure safety
Srinagar, June 20 (ANI): The top officials of Shrine board in Kashmir said that final call to begin annual Hindu Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage will be taken after a second review of the track to ensure safety of devotees as the area near the holy cave is still snow laden. RK Gupta, CEO of the Shrine board addressed mediapersons in Srinagar and said that he would review both the tracks to be undertaken by the devotees on June 23, raising apprehensions on the annual pilgrimage. The cave containing the holy Shiv shrine is located at a snow-capped mountainous peak of the Himalayas.



Indians returned from Iraq lauds military & administration’s help to them
Ahmedabad/ Dharamsala/ Jammu/ Jamshedpur, June 20 (ANI): An elderly person, who returned from strife-torn Iraq lauded their military as well as local administration for the help and their general attitude towards Indians. About 10,000 Indian nationals work in Iraq, mostly in areas unaffected by the fighting between the Islamic State of Iraq and the ISIL and the national army. About 100 Indian workers are trapped in areas overrun by ISIL. Syed Munir, who returned from Iraq, said by and large Indians were being treated well there.



Kashmir organises 'Rabita Business Summit 2014' to encourage budding entrepreneurs
Srinagar, June 20 (ANI): Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a business summit to boost employment and guide and encourage budding entrepreneurs in the valley. The four-day-long 'Rabita Business Summit 2014' was organised with the initiative of young entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital Srinagar, with the aim of giving direction to young minds. Speeches by industrialists were held apart from the interactive sessions, which allowed open conversations between the professionals and students. The business leaders mentored the participants on available opportunities and how to utilise them.



Three militants killed in Pulwama gunbattle
Pulwama, June 20 (ANI): Acting on a tip off intelligence, Indian security forces gunned down three militants in a village of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, after launching combing in the area where the insurgents were hiding. As soon as they received the information of the hide out, a joint operation was brought into force, involving the Indian Army, police force and the paramilitary to track down the militants in Buchroo in Tral area in Pulwama. The militants opened fire on the security forces when they tried to cordon off the area and a fierce gunbattle took place between both sides in which three militants were killed.
