India, China to hold border personnel meet on June 10 Jammu, June 7 Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is visiting New Delhi as the special envoy of President Xi Jinping, will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj tomorrow. The Chinese leader, who is visiting the country to formally establish contacts with the BJP-led NDA regime and strengthen ties, is also likely to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The issues such as patrolling in Chumar and Daulat Beg Oldi sectors, border patrol mechanism along the LAC and grazing rights of Changpas (nomadic tribe of Ladakh) are likely to be discussed at the meeting,” said sources. Both countries have bilateral border mechanisms in place and such meets help in further streamlining the process, they added. The Indian delegation is likely to be headed by the Brigade Commander of Kiari Brigade.
