Singh met Modi at his residence in New Delhi and offered him a shawl as a mark of respect. Both the leaders discussed amendments in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act (MGNREGA) for asset creation and more focus on irrigation projects.
Woman gang-raped over land dispute in Amethi Lucknow, June 06 (ANI): A woman was raped by some people over a land dispute in Gauriganj area in Amethi, said a senior police officer. Amrendra Sengar, Inspector General (IG, Law and Order) of Uttar Pradesh, said both the parties were brought to the police station for questioning. The police officer said that a case was registered against three persons, but no arrest had been made so far.

Clashes break out in Golden Temple on 30th Anniversary of Operation Bluestar Amritsar, June 06 (ANI): Violent clashes broke out in the premises of Golden Temple in Amritsar on Friday between members of SGPC and a Sikh radical group, injuring at least 12 people. Accoding to reports, some mediapersons were also assaulted and their cameras were broken too during the clashes.
