People demand death penalty for accused in Badaun gang-rape New Delhi/ Budaun/Mumbai, June 1 (ANI): People of India demanded death penalty for accused in Badaun case in which two teenage girls were raped and hanged from a tree. Local police said a post-mortem confirmed that the girls, from the Dalit community, had been raped and died from the hanging. Three men - one a policeman - have been arrested over the attack and a search is under way for two other suspects.

BJP leaders including Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Meenakshi Lekhi met family members of injured victims, who were allegedly attacked by workers of West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress party and local goons, when they were celebrating BJP’s victory. Sheikh Hasina hopes to resolve issues with India during Modi’s Bangladesh visit Dhaka, June 1 (ANI): Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the country and hoped to solve problems through strong bilateral talks. Addressing a news conference in Dhaka, Hasina said she is willing to visit India, if required.
