New Delhi, May 28
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had told his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif yesterday that a dialogue could not continue in the din of explosions and that its success could be ensured only if cross-border terrorism was brought to an end.

Swaraj, who was part of the Indian delegation that participated in the talks between the two Prime Ministers, said Modi told Sharif: “Agar bumb dhamake chalte rahe to usme baatcheet dab jaayegi (talks cannot take place amid the din of explosions)” India had strongly raised the issue of the trial of the accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack in Pakistan.

“Unhone (Sharif) yeh kaha ki wo is ke upper kaam karenge (he promised to act on this),” she added.
