Dehradun, May 20
Private companies today started copter service for the pilgrims keen to pay obeisance at the Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath from Fata, Guptkashi and Dehradun.

"The two private companies, Heli Himalayan and Pawan Hans, have started the service after receiving permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. More than twenty pilgrims were able to visit the shrine today," said Subhash Kumar, chief secretary Uttarakhand. The heli-service is expected to shore up the number of pilgrims who are unable to take the arduous trek to the shrine.
