RBI, finance ministry talk contingency plan for

Shimla, May 16 (ANI): RBI chief Raghuram Rajan said it was prepared to deal with any excessive volatility from election results to be unveiled
today. The RBI would also be ready to deal with any volatility in the rupee, Rajan said.
He said this during a news briefing here after discussing the contingency plans with the finance ministry and the stock market regulator. On inflation, Rajan said food prices were still a concern.
Police bust militant hideout in Kashmir,
seize arms & ammunition
Rajouri, May 16 (ANI): Police busted a militant hideout in former militant hotbed of Rajouri district in Kashmir and
seized huge cache of arms and ammunition. The Army and police launched a joint search operation in Kandi located near Kankali forest in Rajouri and
seized a consignment of arms, ammunition and explosive from the hideout. While interacting with mediapersons, the
SHO of Kandi, AM Malik, elaborated about the weapons recovered.
Germany holds Indian traders responsible for failing to achieve trade target of 2013
Kolkata, May 16 (ANI): Germany holds Indian decision makers’
hibernation mode responsible for both the countries failing to achieve
their unofficial target of over all turn over of trade of 20 billion
Euros in 2013. While addressing Indo-German business conclave in Kolkata,
German consul-general Rainer Schmiedchen said due to elections in India,
both the countries could not achieve their trade targets. The
discussions in the conclave focussed on German technology, tools and
processes and how Indian companies can be benefited with the same. The
Germans also expressed their keen interest in investing in Eastern
India.
India’s first amputee trekker climbs
Kilimanjaro after scaling Mount Everest
New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): India’s first woman amputee conquered Mount Kilimanjaro after scaling the Mount Everest. Arunima Sinha,
a national-level volleyball player, the girl who lost a leg in battling snatchers, had earlier climbed the world's highest mountain
peak Mount Everest on May 21, 2013, with a prosthetic leg. Addressing a news conference on
May 15 in New Delhi, Sinha said the disability was all in her mind. Sinha said her family
had encouraged her to follow her dreams of climbing the world’s highest summit. The
seven summits which had been climbed by a few are composed of each of the highest mountain peaks of each of the seven continents are Kilimanjaro, Denali, Elbrus, Aconcagua, Carstensz Pyramid, Vinson and Mount Everest.
