BJP set to win record number of seats: Advani
Pithoragarh, May 03 (ANI): Senior BJP leader LK Advani said he was confident of more than 272 seats for the party in the general elections, the results of which are within a fortnight from now. Advani was addressing the media after a public meeting in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. Holding a show of strength, Advani wooed voters during a rally in Pithoragarh where he reportedly advocated for the US styled public debate between the main competing candidates in the general election.

Chennai/Bangalore, May 03 (ANI): Police released the video footage of a suspect in the twin bomb blast on the Bangalore-Guwahati train in Chennai that killed a woman and left many injured. Explosive devices concealed under seats went off in two coaches shortly after the train stopped at Chennai central station at about 7:00 AM. Inspector General of Crime Investigation Department of India, Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, addressed a news conference and said there were similarities between the twin blasts in Chennai and the serial blasts in Patna city which targeted Modi’s rally.
Bodo militants kill at least 32 in Assam, Politicos condemn action
New Delhi/ Hyderabad, May 03 (ANI): Politicos condemned the Assam killings by the suspected Bodo militants, as the number of death raised to at least 32. BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu questioned the central government's and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's silence on the issue and called the killings of 'minority community' unfortunate. Meanwhile, Congress leaders Meem Afzal and Rashid Alvi said that the incident is unfortunate and that action must be taken against those responsible for the crime.
