Suspected Bodo militants kill 10 persons in Assam
Assam, May 2:
Suspected Bodo militants killed at least10 persons in two separate incidents in Kokrajhar and Baksa districts of Assam. In the first incident, suspected Bodo militants entered a house and fired indiscriminately, killing three members of a family, including two women, and injuring an infant in the Baksa district on Thursday night. The severely injured infant was rushed to a nearby hospital as it suffered injuries from the bullet. In the Kokrajhar district, at least seven persons were gunned down by the suspected terrorists after they opened indiscriminate fire on civilians.



Defeat Rahul to end dynastic politics: Kejriwal
Amethi, May 2:
Addressing a rally in Amethi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal urged people to defeat ruling Congress party and end dynasty rule in order to weed out corruption from the country. Rahul Gandhi is facing Smriti Irani from BJP and Kumar Vishwas from Aam Aadmi AAP from the same constituency. Kejriwal said the BJP and the Congress were united due to which they were not attacking each other’s candidates.



Congress to back GST if in Opposition: Jairam Ramesh
New Delhi, May 2:
Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said if the Congress was pushed into Opposition after the ongoing General Elections, it would give its backing to a major tax reform that it tried to bring during 10 years in office. Ramesh criticised BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for blocking the General Services Tax (GST), which was aimed at easing business processes, raising revenues and boosting growth. He also called Modi a fascist. He said he always welcomed the dynamic personality of Atal Bihari Vajpayee but was very uncomfortable by Modi’s fascist vibes. He said Rahul Gandhi was more focused on bringing reforms in the party where he had been working on multiple levels.


Muslims not voting for SP are not "true Muslims", says Abu Azmi; politicos slam
Khalilabad/ New Delhi, May 2:
Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi sparked another controversy when he said the Muslims who did not vote for his party were not “true Mulsims”. He further said their DNA test should be conducted to ensure if they were Muslims. Politicos have condemned Azmi over the remark.
