Bollywood celebs choose between voting and IIFA New Delhi, Apr 24 (ANI): As the showbiz capital goes on voting today, Bollywood celebrities are forced to choose between exercising their franchise and attending the International Indian Film Academy awards which began in Tampa Bay, Florida on April 23rd. While Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha has a rather casual sentiment for voting as she chose IIFA weekend over her right to vote, award night co-host and Best Actor nominee Farhan Akhtar decided to cast his vote and then fly to the US same as Best Actress nominee Deepika Padukone.
Akhilesh casts vote, says confident about SP getting maximum seats in UP Saifai, April 24 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday cast his vote from Saifai in Etawah district. He said that he was confident that the Samajwadi Party would get maximum number of seats in the state. Polling is underway for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Voting is taking place for 117 constituencies spread over 11 states and one union territory.
BJP’s campaign centered around Narendra Modi: Priyanka Rae Bareli, Apr 24 (ANI): Priyanka Gandhi, attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that the party’s campaign is centered around only one person and their ideology is concentration of power in the hands of one person. Gandhi, who was campaigning for her mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Rae Bareli, asked the people whether it is right to give all the powers of a nation to one person, referring to BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
