Kejriwal to file nomination for LS polls from Varanasi today Varanasi, April 23 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal will be filling his nomination for the ongoing Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi constituency on Wednesday. The AAP chief has challenged BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who is also contesting from Vadodara in Gujarat apart from Varanasi. The former Delhi Chief Minister will also take on Congress candidate Ajay Rai.Modi will file his nomination from Varanasi on Thursday. He has already filed his nomination from
Vadodara.
Will request EC to reconsider its decision: Giriraj Singh on ban from campaigning Patna, April 23 (ANI): Taking serious note of BJP leader Giriraj Singh’s remark the Election Commission has barred him from holding public meetings in Bihar and Jharkhand. He had said that critics of prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be sent to Pakistan. The Election Commission has also asked him to submit his explanation to it by 24 April. Reacting over this the BJP candidate from Nawada said that he was misquoted and allegations against him are false. He added that he will request EC to consider its decision.
Jaitley agrees with Priyanka, says personal attacks should be avoided Amritsar, April 23 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said that attacks on the basis of corruption and honesty are not personal, but added that in politics, personal attacks should be avoided. Jaitley was responding to the statement of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi, who said her husband Robert Vadra was being attacked by the BJP to divert the attention of people from development issues to "meaningless talk", and that the "truth" about her husband will prevail. He also appealed to the Congress leaders to consider Priyanka's statement about personal attacks before making any jibes on Narendra Modi.
