Kejriwal slapped second time in Delhi; AAP blames BJP New Delhi, April 8 The party called the attack “politically motivated”, blaming the principal opposition parties, in particular the BJP. Arvind later tweeted: “I am just thinking, why am I being repeatedly attacked? Who are the masterminds? What do they want? What do they achieve? Is violence an answer to country’s problems? Let them tell me place and time. I will come there. Let them beat me as much as they want.... “But will that solve the problems? Sachai ki dagar badi kathin hai. Par last mein jeet to sachai ki hoti hai,” he added His colleague Manish Sisodia tweeted that Kejriwal had sustained an eye injury. The attacker, identified as 38-year-old Lali and a resident of Aman Vihar, accused Kejriwal of betraying auto drivers by not fulfilling promises made to them. The incident happened when Arvind was seated in an open jeep. The man garlanded and then slapped him. He was thrashed by AAP workers before being detained by the police. Kejriwal and Sisodia along with other volunteers later staged a silent protest at Rajghat. Speaking at his Tilak Lane residence, half an hour before the model code of conduct came into force from 5 pm, the Delhi former Chief Minister said: “I am being attacked wherever I am going. Some are saying that it is because I did not fulfil promises in Delhi. But I was attacked even in Gujarat and Varanasi. Who are the masterminds?”This is the second attack on Kejriwal in the past four days. Last Friday, he was attacked while campaigning in the Dakshinpuri area of South Delhi. Appealing for calm, Kejriwal said: “There are some people who are ready to go to any extent to become Prime Minister. Let them do whatever they are doing. Our religion teaches us Ahimsa and we will not resort to violence. If we raise our hands, this movement will come to an end.” AAP chief and his colleagues have been attacked several times in the past. Kejri refuses security I don't need any security. I have written to police several times, but still you see some policemen surrounding me. They are there despite my writing to the police. I can't remove them, but I don't need
security. BJP condemns attack I don't understand why it is happening with him. Such a thing is not justified. It is wrong. Such a thing is not accepted in a
democracy. Fears threat to life Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said he faced a threat to life after being slapped by a man. “Why are all attacks taking place only on us?” he said. “There will be more attacks, and we can also get killed,” he added. IANS
