Speed up probe in Virbhadra case, CBI told

New Delhi, April 2
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed the CBI to speed up a probe against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh into allegations of corruption against him.

A Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice BD Ahmed and Justice Siddharth Mridul expressed displeasure at the status report submitted by the CBI on corruption, money laundering and possession of assets disproportionate to know sources of income of Virbhadra Singh.

Advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for petitioner NGO Common Cause, told the court there were some recent instances of money laundering and corruption by Virbhadra Singh's family members. — IANS
