Police inaction provokes gang raped teen to consume poison in Bijnor Bijnor, Feb 23 (ANI): After sitting on a hunger strike for days against police's failure to arrest the four men who allegedly gang raped her, an 18-year-old girl attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s mother alleged that her daughter was forced to take this extreme step as no action was taken after the complaint was filed with the police.
Why NCP miscreants were not arrested: AAP on Mayank Gandhi detention New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): Speaking about the clash between AAP & NCP workers on Saturday after which police detained AAP leader Mayank Gandhi, party leader Ashutosh on Sunday asked why NCP miscreants were not arrested. He also said that the supporters of AAP in Maharashtra are doing good work and this is the reason why NCP workers are frustrated. He further added that AAP workers have a right to hold protest peacefully and that they were just sweeping outside NCP office and that is not a crime.
Pawar attacks Narendra Modi on Gujarat riots, BJP reacts Pune, Feb 23 (ANI): A day after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar raked up the 2002 Gujarat riots and questioned BJP’s Prime Ministerial Candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's development claims, the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) has hit back accusing Pawar of psuedo-secularism. His remark has not been received well by political leaders and he has received great criticism for his remark.
