Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari Lingual felicity
As he puts forth his creative pearls in thorough words, which he refers to as language of the 'main current', Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, President, National Sahitya Akademi, unfolds a rather interesting dimension of Hindi as a language. A poet, writer and critic, Vishwanath, in a traditional dhoti and beige kurta, pauses every little while to arrange his thoughts and words. "Language is subject matter to change and since it is heavily influenced by society, which keeps evolving, it does the same," he says.
