BJP slams Congress over number of scams during its rule
New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): BJP Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad lashed out at the ruling Congress party over the number of scams that took place during its rule in the last 10 years. Prasad blamed the central government for rushing up the matters like passing bills for the sake of votes. Prasad also added that the infamous AgustaWestland deal could have got through wherein the middlemen were trying to reach out to the people close to the Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi but were unsuccessful in doing so. Meanwhile, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala hit out at the BJP during a press interaction, saying the allegations made by the opposition leaders are politically motivated.

Reservation row: Congress a confused party, says BJP New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday took a dig at the Congress for its stand on reservation along caste lines. Congress leader Janardan Dwivedi kicked a row when he called for an end to reservation along caste lines. He was snubbed later by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who said the empowerment of Scheduled Castes and Tribes and Backward Classes has been an article of faith with the Congress. Commenting on Dwivedi's statement, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar on Thursday described Congress as the confused party which is in continuous and perpetual dilemma.
RSS rubbishes Mohan Bhagwat’s link with 3 major 2007 blasts Nagpur, Jan 6 (ANI): RSS leader MG Vaidya Thursday denied reports of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s involvement in sanctioning the blasts in the Samjhauta Express, Hyderabad Mecca Masjid and Ajmer Dargah. According to a magazine, accused of the three blasts, Swami Aseemanand, has alleged that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had sanctioned the strikes.
Delhi government to file FIR against Sheila Dikshit in CWG scam New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): The Delhi government on Thursday ordered Anti Corruption bureau to file an FIR and start investigation in a scam in Commonwealth Games (CWG) purchase. At the time of CWG games, the PWD department had installed fancy lamp posts at a very high rate by ignoring the contract procedure. Due to this, the government had incurred an approximate loss of Rs.92 crore. Although the complaint did not name former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit but her name is likely to be included in the final FIR to be registered by ACB since she approved the project.
