Cut above the rest
Say goodbye to Anarkalis and embrace the plazzos with open arms. Here's what fashions pundits forecast for 2014…

The first trends that set the tone for the year come from the spring summer fashion weeks. What actually dots the shelves of retail stores and fashion designer boutiques is more or less a derivation of the same. Taking a cue from what was presented at the major fashion weeks SS 2014, here is what fashion designers forecast for the coming year. But in the end, let fashion be subjective; pick what you think goes with your personality. Nevertheless, take tips from the fashion guides.

Anarkalis will be out this time and will make way for well-fitted clothes that are cut down on volume. The modern Indian woman has to feel comfortable in her skin and she certainly doesn't need flair of Anarkalis to hide her flab.

STAR TRACK
When B-town went desi
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein: They both looked good together and gave sincere performances but even going to the lengths of shooting in a remote village could not salvage this boring movie.

Look of the year
In a deluge of fads, sometimes an anti-trend is all it takes to stand apart. Even to reach the other end of the scale, there's a need to keep a constant tab. Sneak into backstage for make-up and push forward to front row for clothes. They don't spell make-up without good skin, the only constant in ever changing trends.

Trained touch
Behind almost every Hollywood hardbody is a great trainer and it's usually Gunnar Peterson… goes the saying! Gunnar Peterson is as much sought after as his celeb clients, if not more. This Beverly Hills-based personal trainer has a client list that boasts of the who's who from different fields. Think Angelina Jolie, Sylvester Stallone and J Lo! Gunnar is also regularly featured in magazines and shows, including Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Lessons from 2013

Adieu Farooq saab. The goodwill he had was to be seen with the number of people at his ceremonies. We will remember you for your awesome work and your smiling face.

Energetic tone
From being rated as number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100, Timber has now peaked its position to number two in only a couple of months. Sung by American rapper Pitbull, featuring recording artiste Kesha, the song was released as the lead single from Pitbull's EP, Meltdown. The song has been produced by Dr Luke, Cirkut, and Sermstyle, with additional production by Nick Seeley and it interpolates San Francisco Bay (1979) by Danish harmonica player, Lee Oskar. It also features harmonica player Paul Harrington of Rockwall, Texas, who plays through the entire song. He was told to emulate harmonica player, Lee Oskar of the band War. While the song already claimed its territory as one of the top three songs in almost all the music charts, let's see what Chandigarh folks have to say about it.

Bigg confession!
Post his exit from the reality show Big Boss, Ajaz Khan says that his love for Gauahar Khan was mere acting! "I had a triangle love story (Gauahar-Kushal-Ajaz) right in front of me. Plus there were so many cameras. I would have looked bad alone. So, I made a film in the Bigg Boss house that turned out to be a hit," confesses the actor.
