On December 29, 2012, a 23-year-old physiotherapy student lost her fight with life in a hospital in Singapore after being brutally gang raped for an hour and tortured with an iron rod on a moving bus in New Delhi.

Even as he carried out a slew of measures that saw nine IAS officers being transferred and a couple of brainstorming cabinet meetings on day one as Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday urged people to give them ten days to settle down and that they would prove their mettle.
