23 killed,
many hurt as Bangalore-Nanded express catches fire
Anantpur/ New Delhi, December 28 (ANI): At least 23 persons were killed and several injured after a fire engulfed an air conditioned coach of the Bangalore-Nanded express in Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh early morning
today. The train was on its way to Nanded from Bangalore, when a three-tier air-conditioned coach caught fire at around 3:30 am. There were around 72 passengers in the coach when the mishap happened. The injured have been rushed to the district hospital. The train driver acted on site and separated the burning bogie from rest of the train to prevent the fire from spreading.

Khurshid said the Union government would extend all possible help to arrested journalist in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan police
had arrested a freelance Indian journaliston on a tourist visa,
Prabhakaran, for clicking pictures of sensitive installations. He is being questioned in Colombo. The Indian envoy
in Sri Lanka had been informed of the developments. Sri Lankan police
said an Indian national had been arrested on charges of filming a military installation in Kilinochchi,
a stronghold of former Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh passes away of heart attack in Dubai
New Delhi, December 28 (ANI): Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh, aged 65, passed away late Friday night after suffering a sudden heart attack. The actor suffered the heart attack while he was holidaying with his family in Dubai. His body will be brought to Mumbai later in the day after completing the formalities in Dubai. Sheikh was best known for his roles in 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi', 'Chashme Baddoor', 'Kissi Se Na Kehna' and 'Noorie'. He made a tremendous contribution in theatre and TV
also. He was the host of the famous talk show 'Jeena Isi ka naam hai' on television.
