Five injured in bomb blast in Imphal
Imphal, October 29 (ANI): Five persons were injured when militants exploded a powerful bomb in a market complex in Imphal
today. The bomb exploded near Bheirodan School in Khwairamband market complex, about
one kilometer away from the official residence of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh.
The police said the bomb had been an improvised explosive device.
Patna blasts: Shinde cancels Bihar visit
New Delhi, October 29 (ANI): Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, who has drawn sharp criticism from the
Opposition parties for attending a Bollywood event hours after multiple blasts killed six people in Patna, has cancelled his visit to Bihar. Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami and other senior officials will visit Patna today to assess the situation in the aftermath of Sunday's serial blasts in the city. Shinde had earlier on Monday said that he would be visiting Patna to take stock of the situation there.
Demand for Bangladesh caretaker govt
Dhaka, October 29 (ANI): Former Bangladesh Inspector General Mohammad Khuda Baksh hoped for a discussion between leading political parties over the boiling issue of the demand for a caretaker
government as tensions mounted ahead of the general elections. Baksh, a former consultant
with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Afghanistan, said the issue of caretaker government could be resolved through dialogue.
