Eleven Maoists surrender in Odisha Malkangiri, Oct 9 (ANI): Eleven Maoists, including a woman cadre, surrendered after a brief encounter with the police in Malkangiri district of Odisha. A surrendered Maoist said that they had joined the ultras under a misconception and left after being abused by them. Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Bag said eleven members had surrendered.

Azad Market Building collapse: 1 dead, four feared trapped New Delhi, Oct 09 (ANI): A three- storey building collapsed in the Azad Market area in the national capital on Wednesday morning killing a person and injuring others. Four people are feared to be trapped under the rubble. Five fire tenders have rushed to the spot and are engaged in the rescue efforts.
