India confident armed forces will deal with infiltration along Kashmir border
New Delhi, Oct 8 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin has assured that armed forces would deal with ceasefire violations and the recent infiltration in Keran sector of Kashmir. On Monday, the Indian Army had recovered a large haul of sophisticated arms and ammunition after a search operation on the disputed border in Kashmir, following gun battles with infiltrators from Pakistan for nearly 14 days.

Tandoor case: SC commutes Sushil Sharma’s death sentence to life imprisonment
New Delhi, Oct 8 (ANI): The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, commuted former Youth Congress leader Sushil Sharma’s death sentence to life imprisonment in the infamous Naina Sahni tandoor murder case. Sharma’s counsel had pleaded that the case did not fall in the rarest of the rare category and had submitted the conviction was entirely based on the circumstantial evidence and death penalty cannot be awarded.
