Prosecution seeks death penalty for rapists; sentencing tomorrow
New Delhi, September 11
A fast track court on Wednesday reserved its order for Friday on sentencing the four men convicted for gang-raping a 23-year-old physiotherapy intern on a moving bus in the National Capital on December 16 last.

Curfew relaxed for 5 hrs, cop hurt in fresh clash

Hooda brings legislation to rehabilitate Punjabi farmers

The Haryana Government has fulfilled a long-pending demand of Punjabi farmers in the state by bringing in a legislation that will restore land to them on lease for 99 years. The state had evicted many farmers, who had been tilling land given to them on lease, after the expiry of the lease period in 1972.

Punjab Govt gives clean chit to 10 PCS officers

Strange are the ways of the Punjab government. Initially, it expressed reservation over extending the contractual services of 10 retired PCS officers allegedly because of some objection to their way of functioning.
