Floods in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra claim 20 lives
Chandrapur, Aug 4 (ANI): Floods due to heavy rains in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra have killed
20 and displaced around 8000 persons. The floods, due to more than usual
rains that started on July 19, have created havoc by affecting 863 villages and submerging 1226 hectares of land. The floods are estimated to have harmed 2,16,450 hectare vegetation. Various roads have been blocked. With personnel of the
disaster management police, relief operations have started in two districts.
100-year-old building collapses in Chandni

New Delhi, Aug 04 (ANI): A 100-year-old building that
was in a dilapidated condition collapsed
in Delhi's Chandni Chowk today early morning. The building housing BM Shah housing offices, shops and godowns,
triggere off a minor fire. A godown inside the building caught fire due to short circuit. Firemen removed the rubble to extinguish the fire.

Hinjli, Aug 04 (ANI): In yet another incident of shoddy state of the Government’s much-hyped Mid-Day Meal Scheme, a dead lizard was found in the meal supplied by a private agency to a primary school at Hinjili, Odisha.
