Though it did not give New Delhi a satisfactory explanation on the PLA’s incursion in the Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) Sector recently, China today indicated to IndiaChinese Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wave prior to a meeting in New Delhi on Monday. its readiness to revisit the 2005 agreement on political parameters and guiding  principles so as to arrive at a ‘package settlement’ of the lingering boundary dispute.

Royals suspend contract, file FIR against Sree, 2 others

New Delhi, May 20
IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals today suspended the contract of its three players — S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan — arrested on charges of spot-fixing in the ongoing season besides filing an FIR against the three.

150 Cong workers booked for Punjab election violence 
Lambi (Muktsar), May 20
A day after violence rocked Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s home turf during the Panchayat polls, the Lambi police on Monday booked 150 Congress workers and arrested five of them for attempt to murder and rioting. Twentyfive of the 150 booked have been identified and include a woman. They are all residents of Mann village in Badal’s Lambi constituency, the venue of Sunday’s clash between Akali and Congress workers.

The appointment of teachers in primary schools on ad hoc basis by various state governments without following prescribed qualification criteria, today drew flak from the Supreme Court, which said that such policies were spoiling the education system and the country’s future.
