Mahesh Kumar suspended for allegedly paying a bribe to Bansal's nephew New Delhi/ Bangalore, May 05 (ANI): Mahesh Kumar, Member (Staff) Railway Board who had allegedly paid a bribe of Rs 90 lakh to the nephew of Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, has been suspended. Kumar was arrested by the CBI after the agency apprehended him while paying the bribe to Bansal's nephew Vijay Singla reportedly for a plum post.

Kashmir tightens security in jails for Pak prisoners Poonch, May 05 (ANI): In a bid to prevent attacks on Pakistan prisoners, authorities in Kashmir stepped up security in jails. Recently a Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Haq was attacked by jail inmates at Jammu's Kot Bhalwal Jail. Security officials were being deployed attentively outside the jail building in order to prevent any untoward incident inside prison premises.
