Ram Singh, the alleged prime accused in the Delhi gangrape-cum-murder, was found dead in his high-security cell in Tihar Jail here early Monday morning. A magisterial enquiry has been ordered into the death. His family alleged he was murdered.

Haryana ministers’ TA bills under CAG scanner

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has brought the free-travel facility and TA bills of 26 Haryana MLAs, including 12 ministers and chief parliamentary secretaries (CPS), under scanner for excess payment amounting to Rs 1.22 crore.

SSP, DSP among 6 Punjab cops get jail in abduction case
Patiala , March 11
Six Punjab Police officers, including two retired ones, were today sentenced to “rigorous imprisonment” (RI) by a special CBI court for “abduction, confinement and conspiracy” in an 18-year-old case. A Sangrur man had gone missing after he was illegally confined.
