Pak PM to visit Ajmer today; shrine head to boycott him
Jaipur, March 8
Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf’s visit to India tomorrow to offer prayers at the famous Sufi shrine at Ajmer has generated yet another controversy. First, it was the Indian Government which made it clear that it would not hold any substantive talks with the Pakistan Premier, now the Ajmer Sharif spiritual head has said that he would boycott the visit in protest against the recent killing and beheading of two Indian soldiers by the Pakistani Army.

Vijender’s name crops up in drug haul; boxer denies link
Fatehgarh Sahib, March 8
The names of international boxers Vijender Singh and Ram Singh have cropped up in connection with the Rs 130-crore drug trafficking racket busted by the Fatehgarh Sahib police yesterday. Around 26 kgs of heroin was seized from an NRI’s house in Zirakpur.

CBI quizzes brother of former Union Minister
New Delhi, March 8
The CBI today quizzed the industrialist-brother of former Union Minister Santosh Bagrodia, Satish Bagrodia, who is the Chairman of the Chandigarh-based IDS Infotech, one of the suspect companies in the alleged bribery scandal in Rs 3600-crore VVIP chopper deal.
CBI sources said IDS Infotech, a software company, has been named in its preliminary inquiry as one of the companies which was allegedly used to route the bribe money from Tunisia and Mauritius under the garb of engineering and other contracts.
