4-nation gas pipeline plan gets fresh push
Cabinet nod to special purpose vehicle to speed up Turkmenistan-Afghanistan- Pakistan-India project 
New Delhi, February 7
Aiming to speed up implementation of the ambitious Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) natural gas pipeline, the Union Cabinet today approved the setting up of a special purpose vehicle to build the 1,680-km pipeline that terminates at Fazilka in Punjab.

Job scam: Chautala moves HC against conviction, sentence
New Delhi, February 7
Om Prakash Chautala today moved the Delhi High Court challenging his conviction and the 10-year sentence awarded to him for corruption, cheating and forgery in the recruitment of 3,032 junior basic trained (JBT) teachers in 1999-2000 when he was Haryana’s Chief Minister.

One more arrested for threats to all-girl band 
Srinagar/Ajmer, February 7
The J&K Police today arrested a cable operator for allegedly issuing threats to members of the Valley’s first all-girl rock band ‘Pragaash’. The number of arrests in the case has now gone up to three. All accused are in police custody till February 15.
