Charges framed against Kalmadi, nine others

Suresh Kalmadi and nine others were today put on trial in a Commonwealth Games-related corruption case by a Delhi court which invoked charges of criminal conspiracy, forgery, cheating and other offences against them entailing life imprisonment as maximum punishment.

team Rajasthan Royals for allegedly violating forex laws in its business

Rohinton Nariman steps down as Solicitor General

Rohinton Nariman has resigned as Solicitor General amid speculation over differences with Law Minister Ashwani Kumar.
The minister wanted Nariman -- the country’s second highest law
officer -- to appear in a case pending with the Telecom Disputes
Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), but he was not willing, sources
said.
