Ludhiana, December 7
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be the chief guest at the golden jubilee convocation of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) tomorrow.

The convocation will also witness the presence of Punjab Governor and Chancellor of University, Shivraj V Patil, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Union Minister Manish Tewari. During the convocation, the Chancellor will confer the degrees of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) on Manmohan Singh, Badal, Dr GS Kalkat, Chairman of Punjab State Farmers' Commission, and Dr R S Paroda, former PAU Vice-Chancellor. As many as 32 students will be awarded PhD degrees. — PTI
