Teenager thrown out of speeding train near Rohtak, critical

The police has arrested two persons for throwing out a teenager from a speeding train near Samargopalpur village in Rohtak district last night. The victim, identified as Anish (18), has been admitted to the PGIMS, Rohtak, where his condition is said to be critical.

The police said the incident took place around 11.30 pm aboard Awadh Assam Express. Anish, who hails from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, was on his way to Lalgarh in Rajasthan for some work. The accused - Rahul and Ruhil, who were travelling in the same compartment, had an altercation with Anish over some issue. The infuriated duo overpowered the boy and pushed him out of the bogey.

Anish’s kin, who were traveling in the same train, got hold of the two accused and handed them over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) after reaching Jind station. Later, GRP (Rohtak) officials rushed to Samargopalpur village and found Anish lying on the railway track in a critical condition. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused, who were remanded in judicial custody.
