The PFA-Chandigarh presents Dinner with Friends, a play by Feroz Khan. This Pulitzer award winning play is about four friends, two married couples. The play captures both the couples at different ages and stages of their lives, and we witness the effects of the breakup of one couple on the other, who first feel compelled to choose sides, and then begin to question the strength of their own seemingly tranquil marriage.
Dinner with Friends was written by Donald Margulies. It premiered at the 1998 Humana Festival of New American Plays. The play received the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Credited as one of the finest dramatists to emerge from India, the award-winning director is known for plays like Tumhari Amrita, featuring Bollywood veteran Shabana
Azmi, and Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, a one-man play starring Anupam Kher.
